I began surfing in 1969 and was riding 5'7" boards by 1970. You could make about 6 of them from one of these things. If someone had told me back then that boards would be 11 feet long and three feet wide by 2007, I'd have thought they were on acid. Which they probably were, but even the acidheads back then couldn't have dreamed this up.

Epic sequence...the paddle absolutely destroyed any chance of making a turn like that....
