The S.U.P.

Saltwater drips down his hanging gut

wrapped up in neoprene, but not enough.

He stands outside the breakers

on a board so big it needs CF numbers.

Gripping a Koa wood paddle

cut in a factory by the sons of kings.

What's with the S.U.P., guy?

Can't catch waves without it.

The Legend of the Dancing Queen

So there is this very vocal attorney (redundant, I know) who is determined to get the world on SUP's. He apparently rules the day at a certain SUP BB, but also surfs regularly at the break where I grew up surfing.

Anyway, this guy is (reportedly) absolutely clueless when it comes to etiquette in the lineup, controlling his board and equipment, etc. He is known as the Dancing Queen!

I Thought It Was For The Core?

Apparently, I've been given some bad information. I thought that SUP was about strengthening the core and exercise? Instead, as this video proves, it's just a way to see how boring one can make water-related sports on a big board. Reader Jacob sent this in with the words "God I hate sup." I can't disagree with him.
