Idle Time
Reader Rick has some serious idle time. He proves to us that Cardiffman really was based after a real surfer!
Thx... its what I do for a living... The only thing fake is the surfers back forearm.... I had to tweak it up just a bit to get the correct "jazz hands".... R
I thought about it... but like the composition of his stance to the CM.... I actually saw the surfer in the shot in the water today but didn't have the heart to tell him that I punk'd him.... some things are better left unsaid....
Considering East Coasters have slater and propper I'd say they couldn't have one this bad..It is seriously too bad that Machado didn't get a good statue of himself there rather than this barnwaller...Koot!
I've only seen pics of this ridiculous statue and I'm ashamed for the surf community. Could it really have been that hard to create something more regal, self-respecting? As seen in the photo though, I guess there are surfers who inadvertantly end up in that silly pose.
