It's true, you can surf on an airplane wing.

Ok, ok, I'm convinced. I'm the one a couple posts ago who said that this guy seems reasonably competent. However, after seeing him stand still on his board and go straight down the line on wave after wave, I have to agree that he's not very good. It's kind of important to at least move forward and backward on big longboards (tail for turning, forward ~2/3 for trimming, and all the way for a nose ride). Turning is also sort of a basic manuever--even if it's just mild cutbacks on a big log. Oh well, it looks like he's enjoying himself. I would only hate on the guy if he's a hog or has a bad attitude.

Still find it odd that Roy paddles, pops up...and then spends the WHOLE time standing over the fin. Seems like there's always yards and yards of deck stretched out in front of him - but he never goes there. Maybe 'in trim' on that thing IS over the fin? Do you think he ever resurfaced after the final closeout?

Is your title a Magnum PI reference?

Roy gets a lot of flak on the swaylocks.com site, worth a peek if you get a chance.
